SWEARING: moderate swearing is allowed. Certain words have been censored for the benefit of members. If an admin finds you swearing frequently or targeting these words at another member, you will receive consequences.
PG-13 CONTENT: this means no graphic 'interaction' between characters. No detailed kissing scenes either, please. It is not needed, nor is it asked for. Please also refrain from sexual themes or references. If this is caught by an admin, you will be warned/banned depending on the severity. Major gore is also discouraged. Some is aloud, seeing as many battles may occur. If you feel inclined to include major gore, please put [warning] beside the title.
Power-Playing/Godmodding: Power-playing is where you take control of another user's character. For example: The wolf took a great leap into it's opponent, knocking it to the ground. It grinned in satisfaction as the pitiful creature broke beneath it's paws with a whimper. Wrong. This person gave the other player no chance to react. Their character could have dodged! The correct way to do this would be: The wolf took a great leap into it's opponent, attempting to knock it to the ground. See, here you give the other person a chance to react. Godmodding is when your character is invincible. There is a hit/miss ratio in fighting. Your character must be hit AT LEAST one out of the three attempts your opponent makes. This means your character will miss as well.
Posting Requirements: You must have at least four sentences in every roleplaying post. We all understand how simple it is to just write one word responses, but that isn't fun for anyone else. Roleplaying is done in past tense and third person. Example: She tilted her head and frowned. Not: I tilt my head and frown or She tilts her head and frowns. Going back and forth between present and past tense may confuse other members, so please follow this rule.
Advertisements: there is a time and place for this. DO NOT advertise on the Shout Box or the general board. And please do not beg members to look at your website. It is rather annoying.
Show Respect: not just to the admin, but everyone. If you have a problem with someone, take it up with Lucky Charm or myself.
Conversations on Bios: Please, please, PLEASE do not start a conversation on a biography. You have no idea how obnoxious that is for an admin to deal with. The Shout Box, PMs, and the General Board are for chatting. DO NOT CONVERSE ON THE BIOS!
Forbidden Relationships: a Mythic can only take a mate of it's own species. This does not mean your vampire can't have a crush on a shape-shifter or whatever, but it can't go into full-blown tryin' to make a crossbreed.
One Special Power: You can only have one special power for one of your mythicals. Please don't have all your characters have a special power, have some characters who don't have a special power. If you have a lot of characters and all of them have a special power, then you will be warned to change some of them.
